CarPlay is a smarter, safer way to use your iPhone in the car. CarPlay takes the things you want to do with your iPhone while driving and puts them right on your car’s built-in display. Apple introduced CarPlay alongside iOS 9, but it's taken a while for auto manufacturers to adopt the new technology.
What is CarPlay?
With a CarPlay equipped vehicle, a user connects their iPhone once, and can begin to use iMessages, Phone, Calendar, iBooks, and many other Apple Apps while interacting with the built in dashboard navigation system in their vehicle. CarPlay aims to keep driver attention to the road, although brining texts and emails to the vehicle's dashboard may actually increase distraction. What do you think?
